Watercolor Landscape

Watercolor
For my landscape I used a photo taken of Lake Louise in Banff, Canada. When I went to Canada and saw this lake and the absolutely gorgeous Chateau Lake Louise, I instantly fell in love. The area is filled with rich colors all around. The water and sky are an incredibly blue, it's almost as if it weren't real. The foliage are a deep brownish-green. I tried my best to capture all these outstanding colors and think I did a pretty good job. I used cool, soft colors to give the painting a relaxed and calm mood. I gave the tree texture by using a sea sponge to attach the leaves. The way the water is painted gives it a sense of movement.
