For this assignment we were supposed to get a picture of ourselves and convert it into this high contrast type of portrait. Contour lines were used to show movement and the outline of the face and clothing. Positive and negative space were used to create a balance of both light and dark values. The high contrast of the black against the white really makes the portrait pop.
